Sunday Stash – I’m Not Dead

Oh hi there!  Remember Me?  I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t! Firstly – apologies for my apparent disappearing act.  It’s a really long and (mostly) boring story, that I will get the gumption to write a post about one day.  But basically, I’ve been super busy. Secondly – Part of that busy period has been spent in Tasmania!  I took my Mum away for a week of day tripping around our Apple Isle, to celebrate her 70th birthday.  I’ve been there twice … Continue Reading »

Sunday Stash – Holiday Additions….

Unlike a lot of my crafty friends, fabric shopping isn’t usually high on my holiday agenda.  However, when in Hervey Bay last week, I knew I’d have to drop in to my best friend’s “happy place” – Dewdrop Inn.  If you live up that way, and you haven’t been there before – GO!  It really is a brilliant store, with everything you could possibly need, and more.  Here are a few goodies I opted to pop in my suitcase…. Zombie Apocalypse from Riley … Continue Reading »

Happy New Year – Reflections on 2014

Welcome to 2015!  Crazy isn’t it?  I feel like last year went past in a blur and I’m left sitting here, in the first week of January, wondering what happened?  I did sit down before Christmas and update my Quilting Projects for 2014 page on the blog, so if you want to see the 18 quilts and some of the other goodies I made, head over HERE. We have had a lovely break over Christmas, heading up to The Murray River for five … Continue Reading »

Sunday Stash – Tokyo Part Two

Now, where were we?  Oh, that’s right – the fabric!   In total, I returned to Melbourne with 14 kilos of fabric.  Which is quite considerable!  But what I can tell you is this – I was actually very picky about my purchases!  I really thought about the fabric I chose, basically because I knew I’d have to get it home and also be able to fit it in my house.  I’m pleased to say I am very happy with each and every … Continue Reading »

Sunday Stash – Tokyo Part One

It has been two weeks since I returned from my trip of a lifetime to Tokyo.  I had many a plan to blog about my trip earlier than this, however, it took me a week to actually recover from my holiday!!  It was literally exhausting – but incredibly exhilarating!  The one question everyone asks me when I tell them I went by myself on a holiday to Tokyo is “Why?”  Well, I am lucky enough to have a handful of amazing friends I … Continue Reading »

Winner Winner – Tokyo Dinner!

I know, I know – It’s supposed to be winner, winner, chicken dinner – but I couldn’t help myself!  You see, whilst this post is popping up on my FB page, your inbox or wherever else you read my posts – I’m in the air on my way to Tokyo!  I am currently sitting here on the computer at home, having just finished my lunch after a last minute dash to my son’s high school to – ahemmm – sort out some “stuff”. … Continue Reading »

Sunday Stash & Dash – Guilty Pleasures & Other Stuff….

I received a divine parcel of fabric last week, that shall now be known as “the last big parcel of fabric to arrive for quite some time”.  You see, I just happened to book myself a ticket to TOKYO a couple of weeks ago!?!?!?!?!  Yes, you read correctly – I’m going to Tokyo!  This time last year I made a deal with my husband – come tax time 2014 he could get a new fancy television and I was going to Tokyo.  He … Continue Reading »

Another Australian Bite!

Although I’m starting to feel like a Tourism Blog, when I share photos of our little corner of the world – You all love it!  So here I am again, after the most divine weekend spent down on The Great Ocean Road.  Lorne to be specific.  I’d only ever driven through this town, so was interested to see what was so special that my brother-in-law and his now wife decided to hold their wedding there – two and a half hours drive from … Continue Reading »

Sunday Stash – The Holiday Edition

I arrived home on Friday afternoon after five glorious days away, to find a few fabulous little parcels awaiting me. I put a call out to my quilty friends in a couple of FB groups, and the lovely Anorina came through for me!  I needed some Sugar Flower scraps for a wedding cushion, and given that it’s not my usual style, and I only needed a teeny bit, I am very grateful for the generosity! xxx You may remember my post from a … Continue Reading »

Fiji – A Review of Sorts!

A little over a week ago, I was sitting in a hammock, reading a great book and listening to the sound of gentle waves lapping at the shore.  The only thing that could remotely annoy me were the ever present “mozzies”, but even they were easily tamed with some local insect repellant.  My husband and I had seven whole days of peace and tranquility.  We had relaxation overload.  We met new friends and learnt a lot about different cultures.  It was an experience … Continue Reading »
