Sunday Stash – Hostess with the Mostess!

When your quilty friend tells you they’re up to pussy’s bow in glitter (Ok, so their schedule is bursting!) and they need you to fill their shoes, you go out and get yourself some All Stars, pour yourself a drink and prepare to be Hostess with the Mostess!

Molli is busy this weekend, so you have me to guide you through your Sunday Stash!

I’m almost embarrassed to say I have a few little goodies to show you this week.  There’s been a couple of purposeful purchases, as well as some accidental additions.  So let’s begin….

It’s pretty clear I have a serious infatuation with Carolyn Friedlander fabric?  I’d been lusting after her new Carkai range, so asked the girls at Polka Dot Tea Fabrics whether they’d do me a Fat 8th bundle, and they said yes!  So I obliged by purchasing it……

And I kid you not, the same day it arrived, I chopped in to it for a new project!  All will be revealed soon!  I can’t get enough of the beautiful designs she comes up with.  They seem so simple, but are SUPER effective!

I actually received this little bundle of joy quite a few weeks ago, but in the rush of the New Year, completely forgot to show you!

My obsession with all thing Anna Maria Horner continues, and I couldn’t resist her Fibs And Fables range.  It’s quietly waiting on my shelf.  I’d love to think I can get a project made with it really soon.

And last, but not least, a hilarious amount of shot cotton came my way this week!

I think I told you that I’d been looking for this “Fog” shot cotton from Spotlight?  Well, I ended up calling head office and was told to give their Preston store a call, because their stock was showing 40+ metres!  I did so, and they sold me just over nine metres on a bolt!  AND it was on sale!  WINNING!  Then, in a funny turn of events, my lovely friend Jackie messaged me to say she had bought me six metres whilst she was in store because she knew I was looking for some! HA!  Soooooo, in the space of four days, I had 15 metres on hand……. Thankfully, I’ve already ripped through about five metres just making one quilt backing!

So – that’s where my stash is at.  Where’s yours??

If you show me, you’ll go in the running for a $20 gift voucher to my online store!  Just link up in the next week, and I’ll announce a winner next Sunday evening here on the blog!

Show us what you got!

1. Link up a blog post welcoming any new sewing supplies to your stash.

2. If it is fabric from your existing stash that you’ve showcased before, please use new photos with as much natural light as possible, and provide as many manufacturing details about the fabric.

3. Try to leave a comment on at least two other links. We want this to be a safe space for sewing supply collectors, after all!

4. Grab the button, and proudly proclaim you endorse Sunday Stashing!

  1. Some lovely fabric eye candy here…. though I think the one that calls my name the loudest is the Fog shot cotton. Have any to spare? ☺ I’ve been picking my way through the Carkai offerings… the bones print creeps me out a little, but I dig the Shards. And the Kona matching! Thanks for stepping in for Molli… he’s FAR too busy celebrating at QuiltCon!

  2. Wow, what beautiful additions to your stash! I don’t think I’d be putting the shot cotton on the back of anything though–it’s crush worthy! Big Carolyn Friedlander fan as well. Gotta get me some of dat!

  3. Snap! on the bundle of AMH … ps you look good in those shoes 🙂
